About the Instructors

Julianne Harman Watts has 15+ years of formal dance instruction. She began dancing at the age of 3 and continued through college. Most of her training was from the Gilbert Studio of Dance Arts under the instruction of Nan Rikard and Mary Kay Rowell. While at this studio, Juli was the recipient of a Tap Scholarship. Although her love has always been Tap, she was also trained in Jazz, Modern, Ballet, and Clogging. While in high school, Juli taught at the dance school for 3 years. In addition to the activities at the dance school, Juli was also one of the original members of the Lexington County Youth Dance Company. During college, she danced with a student-run dance group at Clemson University.

Tamera Talbert has 15 years of dance training, with a concentration in classical ballet. She was also trained in Jazz and Modern. She participated in the Tri-District Arts Consortium for 2 years and was a member of the Lexington County youth Dance Company from its start. In 1989, she was the recipient of the dance scholarship for Ballet through Gilbert Studio of Dance Arts. Her teaching experience includes 5 years of teaching and team teaching in Ballet, Jazz, and Tap.
